Our Wedding Day

We are home today in Long Beach together for the first time in over a month. It is so nice to lay in our bed, with our dogs, and our stuff around us….I was on youtube uploading a video, and I saw our wedding video and put it on. We are sitting here watching it together. The song we chose to walk down the aisle to is a song from Rent that we asked Pilley Bianchi to play for us. She did an incredible version, and is going to be recording for us. The words to the song read:

“I can’t control
My destiny
I trust my soul
My only hope
is just to be

There’s only now
There’s only here
Give in to love
Or live in fear
No other path
No other way
No day but today”

Those words mean so much more to both us of now….we hope you enjoy the video…it’s long, but just remember “Call Me Maybe” is at the end

Here is to today. A day where we are home together, hydration is complete, we got to see Flor, and Lauren and Victor are on the way! In the meantime, maybe a walk on the beach!

No day but today.

  3. One of the most moving things I’ve ever seen. So true and pure. Have the most wonderful, full life together. To be surrounded by so much love, you are so, so fortunate, although its clear you know that. :-)

  4. Thank you so much for posting your wedding photos. My daughter just became engaged so I have been looking for ideas for her wedding. I loved so much about yours. Loved the way you chose dress designs for your bridesmaids that flattered their figures. I also loved your colorful bouquets- so much more fun that the usual boring monochrome! While I usually like traditional wedding gowns, I found that I loved both gowns you wore. Great choices!

On a more personal level, I am glad you are in a state that allows you to marry. I was horribly disappointed when NC voted down same sex marriages. Marriage is a civil right, not a religious commitment (unless you choose it to be.) And I applaud the rabbi and the Jewish faith for allowing same sex marriage. Mazel Tov! and Shalom
